Has anyone out there in R/C land been able to work up some brake rotors with brake calipers for the new AR44 axles? Something like the VP setup for the wraith/bomber axles.

I'm headed to the LHS later, they have a couple vatterra cars with a disk/caliper setup and I was going to look at it for parts and ideas.

There are plenty of rotors available. Beef Patties for one. Calipers would be very easy to make with a little CA glue, paint, and styrene.

I cannot recall the maker off the top of my head, but I recall many having issues with stuff catching the caliper, so now just about everyone just does the rotor for the look. All of them rotate with the wheel, gluing a "caliper" to it means it spins too. Food for thought.

I have the SSD knuckles and for brake rotors I used a big washer that happen to fit over the outside of the ssd knuckle. Im not sure on the size but it fit semi snug and with a little shoe goo it doesnt move. Gluing it to the knuckle prevents them from having to roll and that way the caliper stays in place. Plus that doesnt count as a wheel weight since its only a washer.
