Hello all

Brand new to the site an am looking at getting my first rock crawler.

Actually myself, I have been involved with flying R/C Helicopters for many years so I know about things like air radio systems an LiPos an charging an other stuff like that an have a lot of the needed tools & equipment, but was looking to get something for my brother who had Downs Syndrome so that he could have something fun to play with.

To mention due the above, was going to be doing this where I would be using some of my extra stick Tx's so I could do a wireless buddy box so if he got into trouble, I could take over. As well since I have all I need for that, I could save a little.

Also was thinking rock crawlers as one, while I know I could do this with the Tx, they are slower an two geared to get through more stuff as while he probably won't be going to crazy, at least it should torque through most things. But I might too at some point go with a monster if the crawler works out OK. Basically the bigger an more rad looking something is, the more he likes it.

So with all the above figured out, next was looking to pick a vehicle an have only been looking for about a week, but have seen that for its price point, the Redcat RS10 seemed like a good choice.

Have read it has is flaws as most would expect for the price, but for the cost an then a few upgrades, it seems OK. Was basically looking for something between $150 - $300, but then too, I don't want to spend $300.00 an then have to spend another $200 to fix's its flaws.

Anyway, thought I would post here though an see what others thought an see if there was anything else I might look at as I would like to make the best choice I can so am pretty open to anything so long as it works for my particular needs and is within the budget.

Thanks for any help.
