Howdy Y'all. I'm new to this forum and relatively new to crawling and my Venom Safari now has a broken front CVD pin on the R/H wheel. When I received the vehicle there was an upgrade kit included ( I can't remember the part # that was on the bag as it has now been scrubbed off ) It looks to be either upgrade for the mainshafts and/or the diff shafts. I have misplaced any instructions I had so I have no idea what the components are required for. I have scoured the net and I believe what is in the bag is: 8413 Venom Driveline/VCD Update Kit Creeper/Safari .
Any advice would be great.
( PS, there is no replacement pins that I can find so I still require a replacement for this. Is there an equally good equivelant to a standard CVD pin? I have heard mention of Piano wire? )
Cheers.

did that help. I've used piano wire an the chuck end of drillbits for wheel hex pins on my short course trucks they both workd for that drill bit a little bettr. Don't realy know bout a vcd pin tho...but welcome to the crew

I have used small finishing nails or brads in my rig. Sometimes the little fatter head wedges into hole making a snug fit and then i dremel the other end off. Good luck.

You can look up gunnar, I think I spelled that right, for gunnar pins.. I believe they are piano wire, they are an upgrade.. 1$ for 4

Welcome to the sickness!

I would go with a drill bit chuck end or something for now, as you will have a few pins left when the cvd ball end snaps off a shaft, if you crawl enough..
