I have the best luck in the freakin world. While tightening the hex nut the entire threaded section of the axle shaft snapped off my STRC aluminum rear lockout with stainless steel shafts.

How in the world can steel snap off from a little cross wrench?! Maybe I should have just went with Axial on the rear lock outs.

Since STRC doesn't sell just the rear shafts can I just use Axial's straight axles?

Do you think STRC would warranty this? It was purchased only a couple of months ago.

I have never seen that happen ever from any STRC product. I couldnt tell you if the Axial ones will work, but if they are the same size, they should.

I would contact STRC and see what they say, they are pretty pricey.

The only thing I can think of that would cause that is a weak spot.

WOW that's intense... I love my STRC stuff... beef for cheap! I'd contact them too and see what they can do for ya... never know might get a free axle or even they might sell you a axle alone... an email never hurts. Trust me STRC makes tough rear axles. Had mine in binds that would break stock dog bones and they still keep going!

That's what I get for spending an hour siping my rovers....I had to take off my freakin wheels didn't I??!

I guess it would have happened sooner or later. Just sent STRC an email about the issue.

Just be thankful that did not happen while you were driving. You could have been hurt!! Oh wait this is rc. Never mind.

You can buy just the axles, i think i got mine from East End Machining. I think? I guess im gonna be a little easier on mine when i tighten them up:shock:
