Bruiser 12mm Conversion Question

Ok, My Bruiser will be here in a couple of days and I want to use the new pro-line 8 shooter beadlock wheels on it. RC4WD offers the rear axle kit that has the 12mm hexes for standard wheels but what about the front. Is there a compatible stub axle that is drilled for a cross pin. It has been about 18 years since my last bruiser and I am chomping at the bit to get started on a resto-custom build "thumbsup"

There is a member here working on some parts to convert the axle, right now, you would have to mod it yourself. Obijuan cut the lip off the front of the knuckles then drilled the half shaft for a pin. If you search in the 1.9 section you will see what I mean.

i had a design as well that had used the stock hubs, i just never did it because i liked the mounty rims. but obijuan did prety much the same thing as me except he made his parts where i utalized what i had

I have done this to a few bruiser axles, and it involves a little custom work. I sold my mini lathe that I made the parts on, but if anyone wants the design to have a local shop make the parts, I'd be happy to post them. Its just an aluminum adaptor to hold a 5 x 11 bearing opisite the one that is inside the knuckle already. From there just use any current stub shaft. 1BadJeepBruiser has my first set of axles and can vouch if the fronts are any good.

here is what i had done... the rear has been narrowed also. both axels are narrower than factory now so that the tires fit under the body.....
mike still has the body since i cant get a damn interior.

rummys is a much better version of that. MUCH better. i cant wait to go back to bruisers. tlts bring teh ghey. lol

Years ago I modded a set of original Pede solid wheels by milling the back hub surface flat, drilling the center hole larger and drilling the 3 holes to mount them to the stock bruiser hubs.......I may just do the same thing and dye them black and add rock rings, I don't really want to mod the bruiser axles to much and I don't plan on running it alot.
