Buying an XBOX 360: What Should I Look For?

Buy new and get the 250gb version. Kinect is a preference on your part. I personally prefer using the controller.

Install games you play a lot on the HD for quicker access. It will also keep your console running cooler when the CD isn't constantly spinning. You will need to still have the CD in the drive in order to play the game.

You can do this with any game on the 360. "thumbsup"

Can't do that with a PS3. :flipoff:

No need to. First, the PS3 doesn't ring the crap out of your discs if you look at it sideways while playing. Second, they are far less likely to overheat just from being turned on. "thumbsup"

But neither is exactly quiet when the cooling fan kicks into high.

I have 320gb drive in my PS3. I should be able to load the disc on the thing and play from it. It is one of my gripes about it. My other gripe is the chicken shit controller.

I DO prefer the 360 controller, but after having had a PSX, PS2, and a PS3, I'm used to it. Also, I have had my PS3 for 3 1/2 years and the fan has never kicked into high.
