I have put all the electronics in my tuber finally but have alot of glitching. I am using the following, all are used.

Novak XRS esc
High tech 645mg
Losi sport 27mhz fm radio
7.2v 650mah ni-cd aa 6 cell

The servo chatters most of thr time, tried another servo, does the same thing. Also when driving the truck will just stop for a few seconds then if I release the trigger then pull it again it goes fine for another 25ft or so.

If I shut off the radio all glitching stops. Also on the back of the radio is a button with 3 colored lights, push the button the lights change order and such but the button on the rec. has no effect on the rec. lights.

I think I have a bad rx or tx or both. What do you think:-(

Is the rx and/or antenna against aluminum of carbon fiber? Is you tx antenna screwed in fully or loose? Those'll cause glitches... Also check to see if the crystal is secure in the port... IE pull it out of the holder and put it straight in itself and see if it's snug... Check those out...

The lights he is talking about are to switch channels. It is the Losi Syth. system that comes with the Baja RTR right? It is critical the colors match!
But DaViolentOne is correct in saying make sure the anntenna is no where near alum. or CF. It will be a nightmare for you if it is! Not to mention am radios do not have alot of bandwith anyways. I would recomend upgrading to at least something FM, but DSM is the best!

well I hooked the Losi radio and rec. up to my clod and it does the same thing so I assume their is a problem with the tx/rx or both. I'm just going to junk the da** thing and start fresh.

I'd say it's your battery more than anything.
AA cells suck for amperage and it seems you have some real cheapies at 650mAh... You are probably drawing more amps than the pack can supply which drops your voltage for a few seconds... the pack recovers some and you go on for a little bit... rinse and repeat.

I thought about that so I hooked it up to a 3400mah 6 cell and it didnt change anything.

I had exactly the same problem when I wired my servos directly to my main battery pack.I has terrible glitching and could not use my truck. I went back to my old sysyem of an RX pack and everything works fine.

Have you tried using an RX pack?
