I bought a mamba micro pro after going back and forth between the mamba and the tekin fxr. Today mark day three of my nightmare with this product! I tryed doing the initial set up for the first two days and after the successfull set up, there is no power to the wheels. I picked up the castle link today (they were out when I bought the esc) and figured today I would be able able to make sure everything is set up correctly and I would be able to get it to work. I WAS WRONG! I'm able to download the wizard (disk) fine and after restarting the computer I plug the castle link in and it says it's been recognized but the computer needs to be restarted. I thought this as odd but restarted and when I plug the castle link back in the computer does not recognize it. I have tried this with all four usb ports and nothing. Each port will recognize everything else I plug into it, though. Any help would be very helpful.

I'm asking you guys here because Castle hours are so crappy, they figure they are the only ones that work I guess because I go to work before they open and get home after they close.

Should have stuck with getting the Tekin (always had great luck with their products- instead I'm stuck with I feel I small a-- paperweight!

cloach ,just do to the castle site online and download the hardware then install it in your speed control , it work great for me that way.

My computer will still not recognize this castle link. Talk about buyer remorse! Looks like I'm back to the stocker. I would return this if I haven't already soldered on a deans connector.

I had the same issue last night when installing mine.. Go to the start menu.. Then Programs.. Add new hardware and look for Phoenix Link.. Double click on it... let it do its thing.. and BAM.. It will work!

every castle product I've used was easy to use and reliable.

So the castle link isn't even being recognized? (what color is the "USB Connection Status" light?)

Are your USB ports USB 2.0??

did you plug in the castle link before installing the software? This can mess with the drivers.

Are you using software Version 3.12? if not download it from the castle website:

If it doesn't work out I might be interested in taking it off your hands ;)

Thank you!

I gave it a few hours off and approached it with a calmer head and with everyones help, I finally was able to program it. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

BTW: The drag brakes seem to work pretty good - was worried about this.

i know that my old sidewinder didn't work straight out of the box with 3.11, i had to use the cd that came with it, which was 3.05, maybe that was fixed in 3.12

had this issue with sidewinder also ... eventually got it working with other versions of the software
