CC-01.1

TL01/M05/a bunch of other Tamiyas' style knuckles would probably solve your issues. Upgrading the steering rack is great, but I think you need to change the knuckles too to take advantage of it.

TL01 knuckles bolt right on and have a longer steering arm. They would even out your steering arm angles. There is no ackerman on them, so they might even be better. They would add 5mm per side in width, and need a standard axle and 5mm bearings ilo the stepped axle and stock bearings.

Hell, I'd send you a pair for free - I've got tons of them laying here I'll never use. PM if interested.

Thank you very much for this offer. :D I like the idea and had similar thoughts.
I had a wild dagger once in my life time and only remaining part of it is the steering knuckle. Is this the same knuckle as the mentioned TL01?
It gives more track width and the steering arm is longer?

At the moment I am trying to modify the steering arm. We will see where this goes.
First try without having big thoughts on it:

collides with the tire and eliminates the throw so there is no steering angle...

trial and error I guess but in the end I might have to change my steering rack to keep some more original tamiya parts on it.
Otherwise it wouldn't be the CC-01.1 but something else😅

Good evening guys,

I hooked up my old rc stuff and it took me minutes to get the radio taking to the receiver (model craft gt2) and the servo finally did something:

But oh boy... Have you ever heard of a cc01 chassis flexing under full lock steering?😎
It has got some power and needs some bracing I guess.

But I can't get it driving😬 the axial ae2 is chirping and blinking (red and yellow simultaneously) and I can't adjust it over the radio.
I'm using a NIMH battery. Are there any more tricks to it?

I already did most of the mentioned things🫣

Guess I have to check again and read through it.
But thank you for the link. I did not find it at first glance.👍🏻

I am sorry for not posting such a long time, but I had difficulties with the ESC, so I bought a new one but it will take a few days to arrive.

I hope I can give you update on the new improved Chassis drawings soon, but this will also take some time because a changed my employer.

And to be honest there was a little distraction too... I guess you would call it a Toyota pickup from 1992 but on this case we have one with the brutal force of a 2.4 "non turbo" diesel with 80hp on roughly 29" tires😅
