Ok well here is what i am wanting to do since they have discontinued the axial honcho kit and i would like the exprience of building a kit i was wondering if i could buy a axial dingo kit and convert it to a honcho i know i will need to buy the actual body and front bummper but what else. cause aint the only diffrence in the two is the links just buy aluminum links for the truck and would that convert it or a little more than that lol

Thanks

You got it, body and links. You don't necessarily have to change the bumpers, but if your going for the full honcho look, you would change the front bumper, and the rear has no bumper. The frame brace on the rear where the bumper would slide into, that is actually different on the honcho because there is no bumper and it has the lights in that brace.

I switch my son's honcho to a dingo it seems once a month. your kit prolly has the stock plastic links his did for dingo, so I ASSume it works both ways.

Ya. My friend actually bought a dingo, and built it into a Cherokee. He did aftermarket bumpers and body, but he changed it to the honcho length just by buying the aluminum links kit for the honcho length. Here's his build thread if you wanna check it out.

I swapped my links immediately to the aluminum ones. It was pretty easy and definitely made a huge improvement in the handling.

You dont pay much attention, do you reacon?

The Honcho kit has been discontinued, but as RPP said, and does,
they have a big(?) recent lot available for sale as a last end run of these kits.

They also upped the price by 10 bucks..........???

Get them while they are hot!

There are still places with them for sale.
axial scx10
Axial SCX10 4WD Rock Crawler Truck RTR w/Honcho
Axial SCX10 4WD Kit w/Honcho Body
  Axial SCX10™  w/Trail...

Why spend the money to convert it when you can still get the kit or an rtr? That will leave money for upgrades.

The kit at RC4wd is showing in stock for 265 for the Honcho. Axial SCX10 4WD Kit w/Honcho Body
The bed runs 34.00 at RPP plus adding the cost for a cab and bumpers unless you already have them it will end up running you 300 plus even if you buy the new kit coming out, that is my point. It would be cheaper to buy the Honcho kit than to do a conversion. All the links I posted were in stock yesterday.
