****Chit Chat Thread****

we set up a 12 gate course today at dirt burners and ran for about 3 hours till i broke a drive shaft...im all fixed up now...just making some adjustments

oh...and im officially backing out of super class...im just gonna run 2.2 comp and 2.2 scaler

Had a great time at Dirtburners today, we set up a pretty good course. Well I also pop a driveshaft and Blaine bent all 4 screws on his upper shock mounts. So It was pretty good. Dirtburners has great potential for a awesome comp. ;-)

Thanks Al, for letting me drive your scaler, It's so cool.

well..my 1900 mah lipo only needed 1100 to fill back up so i had about 800 mah left ....man those things are nice

i have not gotten to charge my 5k back up yet...as i strapped it into my scaler pretty good ...and im in the middle of reingenering the rear axle and the steering

well...if its not pouring rain tommaro i plan on runnin at db's again....round noonish maybee

ill bring the gates

2.2s and scalers again
the super is offically decomisioned

just finished toping off my 5k battery

it took 2k to fill it back up

so in the 1.5 hours of punishing that scaler on the rocks today we only drained 2/5ths of the battery....

i can safly say that i will get really tired of any place we crawl befor that battery dies

wife came in the room and shes like

whats wrong with your super

and had to explain why my dale jr theamed crawler is not going to compete this year

that didnt go over well....

however the scaler steers much much better ..
i swaped in the servo from the super and i reallined the rear tires

and the battery is now between the frame rails under the lexan

i did a quick look at both rigs...
i didnt do a 100 point inspection or anything...

im way to lazy to do that for a little gtg with no points involved

Saul... What's up with the Dale Jr rig? Or you just gonna shelf it cuase I'm taking all the wins this year!

can only afford to run 2 of my 3 rigs and i think the scaler and 2.2 will be the most fun

and the 200 oz servos i had here were good for my comp and scaler..but not enuff for my super

so till i can afford my 400 oz servo ...the super is gonna be parked

Hows this for home made. I hope it works well!

why are you guys making these so thin? why is a narrow chassis so helpful?
Bob, less surface area, means less to drag and get hung up on. Also by running this narrow chassis one great advantage is running a lower triangleation link setup, which takes away axle streer and greatly reduces torque twist.
