After removing the bump stops to get more articulation (Great tip!) I found the tyres were now hitting the front bumper quite severely when turning and compressing the shock. So I have dremmeled off the corners of the bumper. It now clears this easily and retains the bumpers looks IMO. :)

It was quite bad on the bumper. At full lock and climbing it was really pushing into the tread. It stills rubs on the wheel arches and flares a little but I can live with that.

I need to do this after removing my bump stops..

Does your rubi hit the body too? Mine seems to hit just behind the front wheels pretty badly, especially under a little flex.

just getting ready to do this

Nice! I did the same thing, except I didn't cut as much. I also stuck the bumper as far back as I could so I could have a better approach, and I ended up super glueing it because there weren't any holes. Yes it is a little ghetto but its holding up and I'm going to get a metal bumper eventually.

@Rogue - It rubs on the tops of the arches a little. There is some lexan there below where the flares are mounted and it will hit the front of the body a touch sometimes under full lock.

@ Shish - Yeah I shoved the bumper as far back as possible without breaking the wires for the lights in the bumper. That bumper still protrudes to far IMO.
