Today begins the start of a new build. Throughout the fall I was trying to decide on what to build next for a Class 1. I really grew found of the 4-10 platform with my Ultra. When I stumbled across a great deal on a lightly used Pro I jumped in. Class 1 seems to be flooded with the same few hard bodies. Rarely does anyone do anything new or original (at least around me and what I see online). Therefore I decided to pull the trigger on a Cross RC SU-4C body. At $110 shipped you get a complete hardbody w/ opening hood/trunk, engine panel, complete interior with LIGHT UP dash, and a light kit.

Here's what I have so far:
- Vanquish D44s (I sold the Pro F9s)
- Vanquish VS4-10 Pro chassis
- Vanquish Pro VFD
- Axial WB8 HD (I love these and have always sold the heavy Incision shafts)
- Traxxas 2659 Modded Big Bores w/ Mini T Springs (80mm)
- Crawlmaster Magnum 13T
- Crawlmaster BR Mini
- SHV500v2
- LURC "Cannonball" 1.9s
- Pitbull RC Braven Ironsides 4.19
- 2x Mopar spray paint "Rescue Green"
- 2x Mopar spray paint clear
- 2x Mopar spray paint primer

Today I started with some rough mounting of the body just to get an idea of what I have. Here's some preliminary pictures:

Day 0 goals:
1) Assemble body (glue front & back)
2) Body body seam
3) Light sand body
4) Install D44s onto chassis/motor/VFD
5) Rebuild shocks
6) Assemble heated paint booth in garage

While I patiently wait for a good weather day to paint I'm busy fiddling with scale lug nuts. Not sure which to go with!?

Those wheels look good GT! I agree, i like the black lugs as well. Tie in with the lock ring. The chrome/stainless ones kinda blend into the wheel

This is going to be a sweet build!"thumbsup"

Great choice on the PRO chassis and using the D44 axles. These axles have always been my favorites from VP.

Glad to see you are using the Cross RC body. I've always liked the looks of their bodies. Generic looking, but have a cool scale look!

Another vote for the black lugs! They stand out better than the others.

Liked and subscribed! Can't wait to see more!:)
