Are there any recommendations for shocks on a stock chassis and suspension Clod? I’m not looking for anything wild or crazy, just good oil filled shocks that will do the job and had considered using the BigBores for the Maxx trucks with maybe softer springs if those would work better since it’s lighter.

I don't have any experience with big bore shocks but most people really like them
I used 100mm Chinese shocks 1 per corner they do you the job the springs are soft but still support the rig and have had the same oil in them for 4 years now 30w motor oil lol no leaks

Are there oiled shocks with very soft springs so that 2 shocks can be used in each corner?

I’d be willing to try Rustler/Stampede, Bandit or 2wd Slash springs if I go with their Big Bore shocks, it would just make things easier, you could do the same if you go with some of the associated shocks as well. I was thinking the Traxxas shocks since I’m most familiar with those, same for my Lunch Box.

I think most RC's are designed for one shock per corner so having two per corner in the Clod Buster are all likely to be too stiff with most 1/10 shocks. I think I may have to look at some smaller shocks (designed for lighter RC's), preferably those with a number of springs options with different spring rates to play around with.

I asked this on R/C Tech too, the only response I got there was the front shocks for a Rustler/Stampede/Slash with the Slash 2 Stage front springs. I’ll probably look at the Big Bore versions for the looks though.

That's a cool idea. Those shocks might even look nice and neat on a Clod too.
