If not, it really will have to be up at the top!

IMO, we Berg users and crawler guys have needed this for a very, very long time.

I want to see who can guess what its purpose/function is. Obviously its a locker but what function does it serve? There are two different answers.

I hope somebody can guess the first application but the second I have not finished so if it has to wait, even better for me.

I probably should have waited to post these up but I am just too excited! I have been waiting months and months for these!

If you're one of the few who know what these are and what they are for, please keep it quiet so we can have some fun.

Output shaft for sporty transmission?

Male extension to receive a female axle with a pin so welds don't break?

Damn Daniel...... back at it again with those berg lockers........ hahahaha nice!

As XXX said so that you can make one shaft that can be used for either left or right? And that is the second application besides being a lightweight locker?

My 1st thought was a locker to modify Berg trans to be used on a sporty rig.
But with only 1 output shaft not 100% sure...
Can't wait to find out.

equal length shafts is a good one,
but the other is to use standard axial shafts in the ends of the "locker shaft"

no more having to weld ends on

or use 2 short axial shafts for 2.2 or flip it over and use 2 long shafts for super

Some good guesses!

Thats right! Bergs will for the first time ever, have cheap axle shafts that are mass produced and readily available!

This is really going to drive the cost of the overall Berg down at least $60!

Not only are the shafts cheap and mass produced, they are also very strong and are capable of 70* steering (when modded). Another great benefit is that you only need 1 shaft for a spare as both sides are the same! Basically, almost everything you could ask for in a shaft and super cheap!

Here is a pic of XR shafts with my prototype

Love this!

Question, with the XR uni's at times sketchy for inventories can this be done with AR60's instead?

I suppose it could, obviously your widths are going to be way off though.

I plan on having tons and tons of Axial XR shafts in my inventory. If I figure right, we should never run out. I have over 50 on order now and plan to order 100's more.

Also, keep in mind that even though they are just CVD type, Vanquish/Incision also have the XR shafts along with SSD now. Tons of options, all cheap and all plentiful.

Maybe there are even off brand XR replacement unis?

"thumbsup" Awesome.

You are correct sir, this may just be one of the coolest berg accessories ever!! This will make things so much easier for people thinking about going to bergs and lots of people probably already have a pair or two of XR axles sitting around!! As always.... NICE WORK!!!!!!!"thumbsup"
