Hello,

looks great "thumbsup"

...but what happens to the panels? They looking like grassland and not cowish

Greetings Frank

What is the different between "team" and the "customer" chassis?
the "team" is really a BJ V3.5 where the front and the back of the chassis bends in to allow a narrower mounting point for the shocks and somewhat hides the rear shocks from getting hung up.

Correct!

It was the predecessor to the v4 that only the team drivers got. The v4 allows an even narrower shock mounting location, but this was the testing platform for the new chassis.

It does work....runner up at 2010 nats proves it!

Good luck cowfreak with the new ride.

:ror: Yeah , i'm out to grass:mrgreen: at this time :lmao::lmao:

Not sure what to do this time with the panels Frank , so i just picked the 1st rattle can of paint in my box until i come up with a design .

Lookin good. Is the best way to obtain that style of steering to make it myself or does someone make it?

It was originated by 86Jeep but i believe he don't do it no more . There are others who can do it for you but it's not that difficult to do yourself if you want to try "thumbsup"

Good luck cowfreak with the new ride.

Cheers Jeremy , I'll try to do it justice buddy "thumbsup"

Steve .

Well it's been a loonnnnnng dark winter up here on the farm and the herd are finally emerging from the shed and after much deliberation and sweating over 2nd hand magazines ...... we are mostly liking Hotrods :razz:

So it was time for some new colours , some new panels were made , tyres were cleaned and painted:shock: , some axlemaster rear shafts finally sourced (thanks Steve"thumbsup",top name btw:ror:)and fitted along with some RCBros 4th gears . Suspension has been rebuilt and there are a couple of other things i'm waiting to have delivered ....

You need some old school pinstriping in red and white on that black back ground, maybe some red beadlocks, loving the hotrod style 8)

Nice hood piece...... some otherside skins from Michelle :D

WOW!!!

Hi,

the white walls are great, rock'n'roll baby "thumbsup"

Greetings Frank

Thanks guys ;-)

Im diggin the whitewalls, what did you paint them with? Truck looks killer"thumbsup"

That is one sweet looking ride mate...! What paint did you use?

Those white walls are awesome "thumbsup" What kinda paint did you us?

I really just want to say "white" in answer to your questions guys cause i'm a bit like that sometimes :roll: :lmao::lmao::lmao: , but i'm in a real good mood today so if you Click Me you'll find out what i used . The link is for the benefit of my American freinds , i bought mine here in the UK . I'm pretty sure they're on most countries Ebay sites . "thumbsup""thumbsup" .

Do i sense a whitewall revolution :flipoff:??

Postman called yesterday , wahey . Thanks to Bigron "thumbsup"for the behind the axle battery mount , which required a new battery as the Hyperion 9oo's i was using were just too big.
I found some new Thunder Power G6 850mah 65C constant/130C burst and with a whopping 12c charge rate which are tiny and fit lovely on the battery mount .
I had to make a couple of slight adjustments to the mount to get it to fit where i wanted due to running a 86jeep style steering/motor setup but i'm very happy with the way it's come out . Just need to put a deans plug on the battery and give it a charge and then we'll be out to see how it feels having the battery weight on the axle . I also saved an ounce in weight by switching batteries:shock:8) ......

Some pics beside the Hyperion ..

with the battery mounted vertical did you find it hit the upper links? See in the later shots you've turned the battery 90* so it's horizontal, with it turned does it mount ok? I like the concept of the battery holder but thought it would be good as a horizontal mount as well as vertical, maybe two different style.

Darren , i think it depends on the link setup and type/size of battery of each truck as to whether the battery is best run vertical or horizontal . Here's a pic of Harley's -

de7c5051.jpg

I mounted my battery by using some velcro strip and a rubber band and it just touches the links on full extension/compression , no binding and it doesn't move "thumbsup".

I've now run a couple of these packs through and have to say that these batteries are real power houses  .

Has/does anyone else use them and if so with what motors ? Your thoughts might help me on my choice of new motors as i'm long overdue an upgrade .

"thumbsup"
