i am intrested in building a custom crawler, i think i want to build a "stick" type but i have no idea where to start. i want a big, bad crawler with lots of articulation. any advise or where do i start? thanks

well, my buddy and i are supposed to be having a build off and i want to dominate him. if not a stick what else are some very capable machines?

Well, since I have no idea what axles you are running its hard to tell. If a clod, then the NN or an SW2 might be a good idea.

i dont have anything right now, im just looking to build a rig that is very capable. i just sold my t-maxx and tc4 and i want to use the funds from that to build this...

Well, TLT will probably be the way to go for you. It will keep some cash in your wallet. Check out the vendors section, lots of people make chassis.
Double J
BENDER
Kaetwo
Unimoger
Run2Jeepn
And more that I'm to tired to remember off the top of my head. Just check it out, see what you can afford.

You will learn this soon enough on your own, but too much articluation can hurt you far worse than too little.

Do a lot of reading on this site before you start building. Huge amounts of flex looks cool in pictures, but that's all it does.
