Dad's 1.9 Wraith

To me, it's a more scale look for the chassis. There are no real handling advantages with the wraith chassis over an scx10 body. Now that I have some strengthening via partial EXO cage it seems stiffer and more responsive despite the added weight.

Rigs coming along nicely man!! And fast as hell i must say haha"thumbsup" when you get a chance could you please post some pics of your rear tire mount at an angle? With my eyes its kinda hard to see whats going on there and i like the way it looks so i wanna try fabing something similar on my rig

I got out my actual digital camera and took some shots of what I have goin on with the spare tire mount.

Here is a profile shot of the mount without the tire on it.

Here is a shot of the mount from the top. The mount and the piece it is attached to both come from the honcho bed cage. The center frame there is the center frame that runs along the bottom of the honcho bed cage. Center piece is AX80046c item 1 & Mount is on the same tree, item 2.

This is where the rear of the honcho frame sits I believe, I flipped it and mounted it upside down with rear of the frame forwards and pointing down. I trimmed the other side, drilled 2 holes and used button screws to fasten it.

Hope this helps! let me know if I fudged up that last paragraph with the whole flipping around business

Happy Crawling,

This is awesome! What do you think about the wraith with 1.9 over 2.2?

I have personally never ran a wraith with ar60s and 2.2s, But I know I definitely love the 1.9 I have with t-rex axles. Thing out performs my scx10 in every way except some clearance issues due to having the SX tsl's instead of the XL's. Looking for a way to correct that problem. Cruising classifieds and checking wanted section daily!

I traded a Brushless 2wd ae t3 for my scx 10 honcho rtr about just over a year ago. This build was funded by credit card points, funds raised by selling extra parts, extra parts from scx build, and most of all, Pay it Forward chassis from Nvghostrider and Pay it Forward body from creepinchevy69, Big Thanks Guys!

Sweet thanks for the pics and info man much appreciated! I know i have something similar to that piece that i could rig up to work and will post pics on my thread when complete. Thanks again!

Got some 1.9 XLs with CI dual stage foams and hit one of my favorite rock spots to date. A park near my city of origin is bordered by the best rock creek I've ever crawled. Lot of broken up bed rock with 15 to 20 foot patches of smooth bed rock in a couple spots. Will post pictures later this week when I get a chance to dig my laptop out of my truck(we travel as a family so my 8' truck bed and my wife's car on a trailer become storage units).

It has been a Long time on this one. But, some changes have come! New body and tires!

Here are the pics with poser flex shots to show tire clearance(shocks aren't quite maxed in them, slight rubbing occurs at flexed out position)

Tires are 1.55 Mud Thrashers on 1.9 Gmade plastic beadlocks.

Body is Dynamic concepts blazer body, tall cowl.
Paint is Trans Red(PS-37)backed with Gold(PS-13) Both Tamiya.

Hoping to do some field testing soon!

Got it out on the rocks today. Got a few flex shots in and lost the top screw on the drivers side knuckle. could have driven it without it, but figured I would just set it aside and keep messing with the scx. Even with the tiny mud thrashers, this thing pulls lines great, may put some dingo flares and step it up to my old 4.3" PL TSL's. Give it a little more aggressive look and get those pumpkins up a little higher.

Sorry if the pics are a little blurry, didn't look that bad when resizing them. Eh.

Definitely. Tons of lines and soooo many different terrains. Rough smooth flat jagged. Norton informed me that low tide is even better, Being my first time there I didn't even think to check. Looking forward to a return trip.

Truck is back up and running. Replaced a lost bushing and screw for top of C-Hub and knuckle. My wife calls this thing the "kid" or baby goat, thing climbs when you really don't think it can.

Sorry to the experience wraith builders out there. I am sure my little "kid" is nowhere near its true capabilities, but it impresses me every time I run it. As for the Trex60s, maintenance is pretty regular, but when they are working, they work great!

Some new WERTYMADE steel on The Scout. Ripsaws on the way but I think 4.19 MTZ tires will be the final choice. Rides good on the treps but they are too tall and aren't weighted.

Nice, scout is looking good! Still playing with some options for the top. Looks a little bland without the back being finished. Should make an appearance at Axial fest this year. The scx10 will likely be the main rig though. Maybe my wife and I can switch back and forth hanging on to little man and she can have some fun with it.

Probably ordering dingo flares today. I tried to search for any pics of a wraith with flares, but the only thing I found was Jeep based. Hopefully it will set it off with the flares and TSL SX's. Should look as capable as it is then.

They are easily trimmed (flares) to numerous widths and shapes. Should look good on the body. As for the back, check your project box links. I used some stock wraith links to begin with that looked pretty good. Not sure why I posted the scout here, thought it was the 1.9 Wraith thread. Been on the busy side and posting wildly.

Got my fender flares mounted and did the swap from 1.55 mud thrashers to 4.3" 1.9 TSL's. PIC HEAVY BELOW. Took some poser pics to see where the wheels/tires tucked up. May adjust the rear a little bit.

3 mud thrashes horizontal is about the same height as a tsl.

So far I think the flares look good on it. Want to see it on the rocks though. Comp coming up later this month I plan on entering the SCX in, will bring this along to test/tune and bash as well. Hell, they have a wraith class if the wife feels froggy that morning.

Rig looks good with those flares and wheel swap bro! I think it'll have a more "completed" look once you get the roof going but for now its lookin like a winner man"thumbsup" thanks again for that servo too bro! A BIG improvement over my as-3 lol

No problem ! Glad it's serving you well! So after looking at styrene for interior on my scx. Think I may finish the top when I see what scrap I have left over for this build.
