I'm going to try and keep this thread more updates than the FToy thread. So, here we go.

I've always wanted to build a hill killing Jeep buggy, so I bought a TJ body, SCX10 frame, MMP and a few other from odds and ends the other day from Lentsnh. Wheelbase should be around 12" and it'll have SCX10 axles with the RCBros beef tubes so I can run XR10/Wraith outers. Here is what I threw together the other night with what tube I had:

The cage is sitting a little higher than I like, so I'll be addressing that. I know I'll offend a few people when I say this, but most of the interior will probably be gutted. I'm too hard on rigs for the cage to not be tied into the frame :lmao:

Stay tuned!

I was able to tie the cage to the frame with out cutting the body. It's do able just have to figure out what will work for you. Gonna follow this one for sure.

I've made a little more progress. The windshield was too vertical for my liking, so I used the torches to heat the tubes and lay it back some more and I'm much happier with it. I also bent up a roll hoop at this point.

I got a few more sticks of tube and got back to work. I'm not modeling this after any particular cage, just using a culmination of ideas

And in the process, I got a little distracted and comp cut the body.

Here it is coming together. The final wheelbase will be pretty close to how it sits here.

I'm not going to be going too much further since I don't have any frame rails to work with yet. Next will be crusher corners in the rear and tube fenders up front. I'm also still working on how the cage will be tied to the frame and how the body will mount. Stay tuned!

I know this next picture will make a few people tear up.... sorry 'bout it.

Yes, I cut up a good NB body! (and I'm not done yet) The hood is going to be hinged for battery access in the future. Here is what I came up with for body protection. I like the look of a continuous tube from front to back.

I know the rear bend is slightly out..I'll fix that. I was too excited to put up pictures

Looks really good. Welcome to the NB TJ Club. I recently got "done" building one and have been having a blast with it.
