Diesel Engine Model kit?

Is there such a thing? I am working on a project for school where I want to build a model of a diesel engine. I am a senior in highschool and when I graduate I plan on going to a local tech school for diesel mechanics. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know! thanks!

Seriously though, I've only seen v8 and inline 4 "working" model kits. You could always use a nitro motor, you could get a busted one on ebay and cut it in half if your trying to show its workings.

im having a hard enough time finding a miniature diesel motor to put in my scaler, let alone a working scale model thats not several thousand dollars. heck i haven't even seen that. good luck man

hmm, i,ve seen visible 4 cyl, the v8,s, a wankel, a tc harley and a visible hemi but i dont think i,ve ever seen a diesel version

Nope! Im looking for a plastic model of a diesel engine. I guess i should have been more specific. This is just something that i need to be able to show the parts and things on.

There out there, made up of diecast and plastic parts.
I have the small block Chevy one but know they have a flat head Ford,big block Chevy,4 cyl diesel, Chrysler hemi and a 318 V8. Theres also a supercharged one but cant remember what make it was.
A couple years ago wal*mart was full of them but now your best bet would be Hobby Lobby, online, ebay?
Cant remember the scale, threw the box away a long time ago.

Mine is about the size of your fist's put together palm to palm.

Thats exactly what i need! Ive seen the hemi but not the diesel. It doesnt need to work, a plastic model you put together with plastic and tenax is what i am looking for. As long as it ia a diesel it will work. I thought of getting a model ram 2500, or 2500hd and building the motor peices from the kit out of styrene, and make it a couple of scales bigger.

It is either revell or Testors that made them. They are 1/6 or 1/8 scale. I have most of the v8's I have seen a diesel but never jumped on it. I would recommend eBay that's where I found most of my kits at.
