Difference between red and silver boss claws?

Red is softer rubber than silver. I wouldn't think that silver would work all that well, unless you are in really hot weather. But I've never tried the silver compound BC's.

Has anyone tried the silver BC? Would they suit a heavy crawler for example?

If you search for Del Monte's Boss Claw foam tuning thread, there is some good info in there for both the Reds & Silvers, and should help point you in the direction of what suits your conditions. But in most cases, softer is better.
