I went and checked out a dirt oval race this weekend at a new local track. Most of vehicles were Traxxas Slash running Mudboss bodies. There is also a sprint car class. I am seriously thinking about getting into it.

Are any of you racing dirt oval?

I have team losi l8ight model. It is an absolute blast. Both our local oval tracks closed though. I'm looking at selling my huge investment or making it a 1/8th scale on road nitro beast.

We run the Mudd Boss's indoors in the winter.

It was a great idea to start with, brought a lot of fun to guys. People wanted to tweak the rules from what they started out being. Now guys complain about how much it costs to win.

Can be a fun class though "thumbsup"

If I get into it I plan on buying a new, brushed Slash and running in the stock class. Then I can move up to the 13.5T class easily.

People will complain about free money so I usually take those people with a grain of salt. You don't have to spend any money and sit at home. :lmao:

If theres enough that wanna split the class thats great. Our local guys dont have enough that want to split so the slow agreed to let the rules slide a little and then it became nit picking to why they lost. Its comical because Im an old oval racer so i know how cranky they get. :ror:

As of now there are 4 or 5 classes. Three Mudboss classes and one or two sprint classes.
