Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has tried this I was thinking of trying to bend my homemade links(6/32 all thread and 3/16 tubing) kind or like axial's 30 degree bent links I have a wheely king based crawler and think it will be a little more capable with a little more ground clearance. So is there a method to doing this or is it more of a pain in the a** than to just buy them any help would be appreciated thanks.:flipoff:

Just use this, it will work fine for what you want to do:

yup, just about any tube bender will work.

Just go slow, because I snapped some all-thread by trying to bend it too much. You can get a decent tube bender at most Napa or Kragen type stores."thumbsup"

Also a little heat from a propane torch will help if you need to get more then a 30-45 degree bend on the all-thread.

just stick it in a vice and bend it, i've bent up to 6mm steel rod like that

or find a gap in between to solid objects stick it in and bend
i've done up to 12mm steel rod like that by getting a 2m pole, sliding it over the end and hanging off the till you get the right angle

i used the stock links and the slats in my wood porch, once the other link dug its self in and molded the wood around it the other one was a pinch
