Thanks Mark.

Supers are just so much fun. I loved driving mine at PCC. I never really liked the Boss Claws on my super at many places but they seemed to fit in well here.

I was foaming at the mouth for a Backyard Boys trophy, I had to have one.

I wanted to add this to this thread also. Lots of Bully guys could benefit from this if they can make their own hubs...

Ole Stubs gave me a killer idea (that took me forever to get around to). An all delrin piece that replaces the hex, hub, set screw and wheel nut.

Old setup 12g

New setup 4g per side

32g lost! Wow. That is in exchange for a 475 hub. You would lose even more with a bigger hub. Everytime I think there is no way to pull another ounce out of this car there is always something. Thanks for the idea Stubs!

Another huge benefit is that I am now rich with VP hubs

Sitting right at 7lb RTR.

Not sure how everybody else is getting their cars so low. I know I could lose some ounces if I didnt run a beadlock and I dont want to lathe the motors as I dont feel that I could afford to lose the drag brake. Those mods that I dont want to do could save close to 6oz. I am still a bit away from 6.5lbs though even if I did those two mods.

I think I am running close to 8oz on each knuckle. I would weigh it but taking my tire off just got a bit more complicated. LOL

Huh, could have swore I was really wide at 14.25. I just measured and I am 13.875 front, 13.5 rear.

Ok.....good deal. That's what mine is sitting at with the new wheels. I was just curious where your custom tubes put you.

Had I known I was running that narrow I would have put some more width in it. I think I would like a bit more scrub but its working so well now that I dont want to change anything.

The great thing is that is an easy swap. Widen it a bit, if you don't like it go back to what works!

It was awesome seeing you and this rig work at Nat's. Good luck at the Best of the West "thumbsup"

RockDrifter and I have been working on his 2.2 HR/Berg and playing around with the gears offered by HR. When we built his car we knew that the gearing was different between the two brands but we didnt think it would be much. When he got his car up and running we quickly found out that his car was MUCH slower than the typical Berg so he switched out the 2nd HR gear for a Berg 2nd gear and everything was great.

After posting up in the the below thread, it came to me that I could also swap an HR 2nd gear into the Berg for lower gearing
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/enroute-berg/387248-need-new-berg-gears-please-look-inside-3.html

So I did the necessary mods which was just cutting the back sleeve off the 3rd gear and then loctiting the bearing to the small 3rd gear.

Here is a picture of a stock Berg large 3rd gear that has been milled to reduce weight and the sleeve cut off, next to a stock Berg large 3rd
