Hey guys,
This may be a dumb question. I've searched but can't find an answer.
Would a smaller motor can on a sensorless brushless motor, of the same kv rating, cog more, less or the same, than a comparable motor but in a bigger can?
Consider the example of a brushless 3650 3000kv motor, compared with a 3665 3000Kv. Using the same ECU would one cog more or less than the other? Or does can size (length) make no difference?
I really only bash with my Twin Hammers but also like to try (and enjoy) some level of crawling. Been tossing up spending the money on a sensored motor and ECU, but wondered whether simply going to an unsensored larger brushless can (3650 to 3665) would improve low speed control and cogging, or make no discernible difference, or make things worse?
Also, should I assume that a higher kv brushless motor will be more prone to cogging, than a lower kv motor?
Thanks for your comments in advance.
Cheers
