Need to pick up some mild steel tubing for fabrication. I know of a couple places in the US I can order from, but am curious to know if anyone knows of a place to order 3/16 OD tube in Canada. The places I have found don't carry such a small diameter.

I have seen that. Considered it but would prefer mild steel and some longer lengths

Rod is good for sliders and bumpers but much too heavy for cages. Rod can be found at Canadian Tire as well. I am after DOM tubing

Good luck in the search.

Stock Car Steel is the only reliable place I know of for 3/16 DOM tubing. Stainless steel tubing in that size is much easier to find.

Thanks, I have been looking up here awhile to no avail. Stock Car Steel is looking like the plan.

Never attempted working with stainless. How difficult is it?

It is a pain to cut and drill, cut-off wheels and bits get eaten up pretty quick. Bending isn’t bad with decent tools. Pretty easy to stick together using silver solder but I’ve only done a few parts. Not sure how welding or brazing would go since I haven’t tried.
