Still unfinshed.

Looks good! I was thinking about doing that to the 1:18 Jeep.

Did you do anything to bend the plastic like that (ie heat?) or just bend & glue?

Yep, pretty sure I follow ya.

Thx!

What are you gonna use to hold the side and stuff all together once you get it done? Is there a glue that is gonna be strong enough? I am gonna attempt this on my 1:6 crawler.

How did you get the chrome off the wheels so you could paint them? Looks really cool! Post some pics when its all slapped back together!

I'd drop some plastic weld onto the seems and smooth it out with some modeling putty or 1:1 bondo. You probably have bondo more readily available than the putty.

nope, havn't had time to work on it yet because of school and someone just reminded me about a 1:1 wheeling trip this weekend so i guess it will have to wait. i'm in no rush sence the truck it apart anyway.

my Heep is now a model. some of my electronics gto wet and now nothing works and the tires are full lock to the right.

never finshed the dovetail, still about the same as it looks in the pics, just dustyer.

thanks for all the intrest but i have "lost intrest" in this thing, but i will say it was my fault getting the elctronics wet, and it only took a few small sprinkles of water on the uncovered board. mabey i'll get some new electronics and start the project up again, but i dought it, i feel bad saying this now but, these things do kinda break easy, even though it wasn't Nylints fault, everytime i used it i was scared to turn full lock with the power on.

I would say this isn't too easy to do and have it look really good. it took alot of hours just to get to where i was in the pics and would still need a good ten hours to finsh up all the little details to get right.

thanks for the interest,

Stu
