I made the trip up the Keystone for some downhill mountain biking this weekend. They've got some sweet north shore style ramps randomly set-up on a bunch of trails, what a blast!! Here are a couple pics.

Anyone else play on the slopes in the summer?

I went to Demo yesterday. it's the place the Specialized DEMO 9 is named after. It's got some really steep descents with some log drops and some log rides. Fun place but the climb in & out sucks when you are a lard a$$ like myself.

A few more pics...............last one is of my weapon of choice. I'm a die hard fan of hardtails.

I don't understand, why do they build those little wooden trails for you to ride on? Don't you just ride a normal trail?

Heh, I took a smaller bump than that drop off you pictured and it cost me my front tooth and is the reason for my fat lips now. I wouldn't say I'm afraid of bikes, but I definately use them the least amount I possibly can and don't even like to ride off of curbs... I don't want to spend another couple thousand on more prosthetic teeth.

Look for some video of guys using those things, they're a little crazy.

Trials riding. Like Libor Karas, and Hans Rey. Cool stuff.

For the most part you just ride trails, but for fun they build man made stunts along the trails. Some are just jumps, they have real skinny rails you ride on, they have see-saws that you ride up on to until your weight transfers to the other side then it sets you down. It's just a different twist that's thrown in to the trails. The wooden bridge in the first pic is about 8 feet off the ground at it's highest point. You can't look anywhere accept where you are going!!

COOL pics! I also enjoy riding my mountain bike(nothing hard core though) and i also like to think im a hard tail person,i have riden FS bikes and dont like them too much, besides i ride CC more than DH.

You should try Bootleg Canyon up here in Boulder City NV. We don't nick name it head trauma for nothing. Every year the Interbike convention has their demo's up there.

MTB is a lot of fun.

They can definitely be dangerous, hence my full face helmet. I've got a bum shoulder from a mountain bike crash in Florida.

   Please there's a million more miles of trails for motocross then there is for mountain bikes here in CO.

If your motocross trails are being closed it's not because of us. :flipoff:

Damn that sucks, sweet ride though!! I'm working on a burly full suspension freeride frame, but I haven't done a whole lot with it lately. I need to start in on it again.
