I'm finally getting the hang of drifting with my little RC18T. It took an afternoon but I finally got the hang of the necessary throttle control and steering ability so that I can perform figure 8's without spinning out all the time.

I turned my RC18T into a drifter by simply taping up some road tires with electrical tape. Electronics are bone stock, except the servo. I've been drifting on the b-ball & tennis courts at my local park/playground. We take our son to the playground a lot. The surface of the courts is brand new so it's super smooth and pretty slick. It's actually painted on and kind of a rubberized asphalt (if that makes sense). It's quite slick for drifting. With the taped tires, I could spin donuts forever it I wanted.

Since it's still pretty cold, the b-ball & tennis courts are empty so I've been drifting like crazy. It's a blast to use the width of the 2 b-ball courts and drift around the corners, like a big oval. Full speed down the straights, tap the brakes, add throttle and I can perform a nice looking, high speed drift around the corners. It's pretty fun!!

I can't remember, what wheels and tires did you put on yours?

I used to drift in my basement with my foams, I would turn all the lights off and turn the underbody LED's on and just go nuts.

Those little things are crazy fun.

I taped up a set of Losi Street Treads on white Pro-line Wabash wheels.
