DX3R Aux channel/dig switch set-up??

how do I program my DX3R to do this???

Make a switch on you controller 3 position by looking at the manual. Connect the servo to a power source without the servo horn, set your end points very low.
With the servo on put the servo horn on so it doesnt touch either micro switches.
Gradually work your end points out untill it will compress the micro switch enough to cut power then go slightly more to be shure it engages all the time.

This should work, this is similar on how i did my shafty, its the same principle.

I am at a point where I just cant see what I am doing wrong, I am sure it is obvious but I am looking right through it! I have my setup the same as my axial dig and nothing happens. I know the servo works because it does when I move it to the steering slot on the RX.
I have the switches set @
A - thr
B - str
C - Inhibit
D - Aux 2p
E - Aux 3p
F - Aux 2p
what am I doing wrong?

I got into the same thing recently. After you program the the the switches to where you want them, Especially to Aux channels try rebinding it. I programmed one models set-up(just the aux channel/switch) before I bound it, it worked fine. The next model I set all the aux switches where I wanted them after I bound them. The Aux3 switch would just stay centered. Went through the deal you did by plugging the the dig servo into the steering channel, it worked fine. Plugged it back to the 3rd channel, nothing. I rebound it then it worked fine. All I think it is is the fail safe not seeing it as a 3position switch and just stays centered.

went thruogh the bind process, steering works, but no dig servo movement

try turning up the epa up a bit, maybe it is set too low??? keep the horn off till you get it ...

I will be doing inventory to see what good stuff I can part with in order to finance the two ESC method of dig.....the big cost is the new radio...too bad I just got this one. If the DX3R can run 2 esc's in the berg, the dig servo and switches are gonzo. Gotta look into that later today.....Guiness time right now, always helps me not break someone or my own stuff:shock::x

i dont know if this will help but make the c switch a trim adjustment for you aux channel. i know that is how mine is set up even though i never mess with c for my dig trim. also just try making one switch contol your aux channel and inhibit the other.

If your steering servo is of the digital type and your dig servo is not, you have to turn down your frame rate to get the dig servo to work. Hope that helps"thumbsup"

I started @ 25% and went up to 100% .....nada.

the servo is a Hitec mighty feather HS-65, I did that and it does work in the steering slot.

I think I'm confused now but....I think I was confused before too:lol:

I am running up and down the stairs between the basement and my den to use the PC.....I think the guiness is making me levitate...is that possible?:shock:

Thats your problem, you have your frame rate set at 5.5ms, which is for digital servos. Your Hs-65 is not digital. Change it to 11ms, if that doesn't work use 16.5ms. You want to fastest setting that will work with your servos. The 5.5 definitly won't work though. Hope this helps"thumbsup"

Not sure on your switch settings. D,E, and F could be conflicting. I'd assume they should all be programmed for the same function, not 2p and 3p.

I will set my framerate to 11, I am sooo confused by this stuff:-(
I guess I need a new servo anyway, I thought it was digital. bummer
