Earthquakes

How long have you lived in California ? I have lived here all of my life. In my opinion you should always be prepared for a natural disaster. Two 4 average earthquakes is just the San Andreas settling in for the day.

Well, I've rarely seen two 4.0+ within 12hrs. So that's new

However, last night I only heard it and thought it was the AC. Granted I was half asleep. This morning I was driving :(

I actually love quakes. Yah, the big one will suck, but otherwise it's fun

earthquaks are sooooooo much fun its like a roller coaster and you dont have to pay $80 to get in to 6 flags

Ok, so we live in california and earthquakes are normal. But two within 12 hours? First a 4.4 at about 12-ish last night, and now a 4.5 a couple of minutes ago. Should I be worried about something stronger that's going to screw everything up?

Ahhh, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone...All the shitty shows are gone, all the idiots screaming in the f***ing wind are dead, I love it...leaving nothing but a cool, beautiful serenity called Arizona Bay. That's right, when L.A. falls in the f***ing ocean and is flushed away, all it will leave is Arizona Bay."thumbsup"

Lived there (Berdoo) for 36 years, was there for all the biggies from late 50's to the mid 90's, I liked them a lot better than those damn tornado's when I lived in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
I'm in Arizona now, and it would be nice to be closer to the coast, let her roll.

Late 50's? Sounds like your kinda old. Yeah, I'd take a earthquake over a tornado any day. I just don't want my expensive sh!t broken. I don't have the money to fix it.

Buy some CA glue & get to work.

I've lived here my whole life & quakes are just a foot massage. As far as us fallin in the ocean...did you seebthe thread about mermaids? We're good.

I don't even notice unless it's a 7.0+ Born and raised in San Diego, work in a two story concrete tilt up on the Rose Canyon fault line and don't even think twice about them. I think the last one I actually felt was Easter 2010, was a 7.2 close to Mexicali. That one was a back and forth motion, some are like waves. What cracks me up is peeps in the Midwest scared of quakes and live right in the middle of tornado alley. At least after a quake you can rifle through the rubble for Dorthy and Toto.

Yeah...you can keep the tornadoes. I'll hang out on the San Andreas all day. Never seen an earthquake pick up a barn & throw it over a corn field.

1. Thank God for California building codes.

2. Dumbest thing you can do is run during a quake. Most people are hurt or killed by running outside and being hit by falling debris. Stay where you're at until it's over.

3. Don't people wear shirts in Chile?

Oh, and BTW, the more smaller quakes/aftershocks the better, it relieves pressure from "The Big One".
