Started this thread because I want to hear some feedback from you guys.

I have purchased exclusively for years from ebay with no issus at all now in yhr past 2 weeks I have come into such a headache with all of this.

I purchased some filament for my 3d printer went to pay for the item through ebay using PayPal checkout instant transfer from checking. This has how I do all my purchases because transferring funds from checking to paypal and then paying from PayPal takes forever but if you have 0.00 balance in PayPal it directly pulls it and is a lot faster.

I make the payment says payment had been made. Then a few min later I see pending payment. Not the first time this has happens it usually is from seller not adding the email address they are accepting payments with "or" they misspelled the email address that is on eBay seller acct.

So when I cancel payment it says funds will be in PayPal acct instantly

Payment isn't there so I call the PayPal and they tell me that because I used my instant transfer from checking instead of using a card on acct to pay for item that is why it is unclaimed and when I cancelled will take 3 to 5 days to clear from checking to be available.

Ebay seller assures me that the account is correct and that they accepted 3 payments a week prior from eBay buyers using PayPal. So I go out on a limb and try to repay for the item and use my card instead of instant transfer from checking and it still says unclaimed again

So when I cacelled it supposedly instantly returned it to my card acct (which is also my checking ) so it shows on my checking where funds were removed for all my transactions including the 2 that were made after this one where they did like normal.

Also purchased a item a few days later for my 1.1 that I needed asap and same thing with unclaimed payment happened again.

Talked with bank , eBay, PayPal and they all confirm that nothing is wrong with any of my accounts on my end ... yet supposidly sellers are telling me the same thing not a big deal except when u can't buy these items locally or online and the one secure way they accept payment is messing up now I got a large amount of funds floating around in cyberspace waiting to be returned before I can do anything :banghead:

I do thousands of dollars worth of transactions on eBay and have never run into this. I always have paypal pull the funds from a debit card and they are available immediately.

I changed it to my debit card as of now and will use this method from now on but the instant transfer from checking usually works just the same but apparently on the return part

Getting any financial institution to refund $ always takes time. Quick to take it, slow to give it back.

My friend cant shop on ebay, the reason is he have a account all ready, problem is he did nok make the account. ( no help for him from ebay )

He got kind of the same problems with G-mail from time to time, suddenly he can not get in to his acount ( mail + youtube )

Allso no help or support for him there so he have to make new accounts from time to time and abandon the old ones he can no longer get in to.

It sounds like your buddy sucks at using a computer. You can have more than one ebay account. I have two.
