EPARCCrawlers has proudly partnered with Rausch Creek Off Road Park to bring radio control rock crawlers into the world of full size rock crawlers. We will be hosting a 1.9, 2.2, Class 2 and a Scale Dash\Poker run at the same time the big boys are holding their comp. this will be a very unique experience, since we will literally be side by side on their crawling course. The event being held is the RCrocs Eastern Rock Crawling Competition. This event attracts some top notch full size trucks to compete at Rausch Creek.

Rausch Creek Off Road Park is devoted to providing a fun legal place for 4x4 off road clubs and organizations to go "wheeling." The park consists of almost 3,000 acres of easy, intermediate, and hard trails. Rocks, bowls, hills, the glacial "Rock Creek", club friendly trails, and free on site camping combine to make Rausch Creek a unique 4x4 experience.

Untitled-2.jpg

The vehicle requirement is simple "Run what you brung" 1.9, 2.2, Wraith, Dingo, Honcho Scale style rigs.

The Dash aspect is a speed/timed event where fastest time wins.

The Poker Run aspect will serve 2 purposes. Primary purpose to verify that drivers competed the entire course, and secondary to give those less fleet of foot a competitive challenge.

Playing cards in sealed colored envelops will positioned around the course.
Drivers must collect all the required envelopes. After finishing the course the envelopes will be opened and the driver will build his best natural poker hand.
(No duplicate cards can used. Example = 5 Aces can't be used as a hand)

Food and drinks are available at the park. There are also restrooms, covered eating areas and electricity for charging batteries or running small tools, if needed.

Ok, here we go again. We learned so much between ECC and the first Rausch Creek comp. the next one is going to be bigger and better. Hoping to get even more 1.9 and 2.2 rigs than lat time. Also interested in seeing the super class crawl at Rausch. Still lots of details to work out, but a fun scale dash/ poker run for you scale guys.

updated, looking into the hotel situation and talking to drivers that came out last time, and what local hotels they liked.

That's terrific! Thanks for your help. I'm not against camping, I just don't feel like camping after being kook'd up in a car for 12-13 hours.

The Comfort Inn got two thumbs up. Also if you mention you are driving at Rausch Creek you get a discount."thumbsup"

We decided to offer supers to see how it would work out in the future to possibly host a national qualifier at Rausch Creek.

OK, question. Could I run my 2.2 Bully MOA comp rig in the poker run?? It's a bit easier to fit higher mah packs in that than the XR-10.

Not sure of my schedule yet (although Calvin is itching to go....), just checking on what I can do.

I would likely run the XR-10 in 2.2 comp yet again.8)

For those that missed the 1st event here......it was great, even with some minor teething pains. I can't see how it couldn't be better the 2nd time around.
Great tire grip on the comp courses, great bunch of guys, fun watching the 1:1's (although I didn't see one flip itself back over like we do....could have been interesting!!), great exposure for the RC aspect of it.

Hope you guys can make it out to the other two comps at Rausch Creek.

For our first major outing as a club I was very impressed with the turnout and the dedication of all the members that worked it.

Big thanks to our first retuning sponsor.
