I just picked up a HPI Firestorm in a trade deal. It needs and esc. I came with a Venom 6400 20c 3s battery.

Ive been looking for the original esc or the waterproof esc that HPI made for it but havent come across any used ones yet.
What other esc can I install on this that can handle a 3s battery?

Been awhile, but I would think pretty much any esc for land based rc's will do 3s.

I think I ran a Castle Sidewinder, on my Firestorm. I've used many Traxxas esc's and motors. What motor is in it now?

Thanks fellas. Did a trade locally for a GoolRc 60amp

motor is in it now?
There is a Orion Vortex brushless motor in it right now. Its all I can make out on it. Cant find much detail on it thru a search. I got this in a trade that I really didnt plan but it looked interesting so I felt like giving it a try.

Anyone know what these fetch for used in case I decide on selling it?

The 60A GoolRC I had was terrible. Cogging, losing calibration and setting memory, ugh. I threw it away. Maybe they've gotten better in the meantime.

Anyway, Hobbywing ESCs are cheap (not GoolRC cheap but still) and work well.
