after ten years waiting to build my clod buster I am able to start. it took me a while to get the parts together. However, I'm still on a budget and was looking into ESC's but none of them list a motor number limit. Which ESC's will handle two motors and at least one 2s lipo? I know a MSC will handle two motors and I already own that so worst case I'l install that in the Clod. also any esc's that are waterproof would be a plus cause the MSC is waterproof. To start I will be running 540 silver cans, eventually I will upgrade to nicer motors. I'm building the truck as a long run time trail truck/crawler. Thanks for your insight.

Traxxas EVX-2.
2 motors, 1 or 2 batteries.

Wish I would have bought this one first, I wasted money on something else first. Then realized I wanted waterproof.

Can get them with or without LVD for lipos.

excuse me for asking but whats LVD? and is that the only esc thats waterproof that can handle 2 motors? cause thats alot more expensive then my MSC.

Low Voltage Detection = lipo cut off

There are also the Tamiya ESC's. The clod ships with a teu-103bk, and there's a slightly updated version, the teu-106bk. Both are about $55. Neither are waterproof though and you'll need a lipo cut off. Technically they're rated for up to 7.2v, but i've heard of ppl running 2s lipos with them.

I'd probably just go with the EVX2 though, that's what I plan on getting if my 103bk ever dies.

Thanks, My wife surprised me with the EVX-2 lvd and waterproof last week, now I just gotta hook up the electronics and my waterproof hustler will be all done.
