My "new to me" UDR. I previously owned one that I sold to buy a motorcycle. I've always missed it, as the UDR is a blast to drive.
But I've resisted buying a new one because I don't want to give Traxxas my money. Their error in designing the axle housing, combined with their refusal to acknowledge that turned me off to Traxxas.
But I don't mind buying a used Traxxas, and found a genuinely lightly used UDR for sale. So I bought it. It's the Fox Racing / Justin Lofton livery, but it currently looks like this:

I've ordered about $500 worth of Vitavon & Hot Racing suspension upgrades. While I wait for my LHS to get those in, I started painting.
Wheels first. I painted the letters on the tires with this:

Then the wheels with this:

I was going to mask & spray the wheels, but I've found that I enjoy the work of using a brush much more than the tedious work of masking.

These parts have been cleaned and are awaiting various colors of paint. Both spray & brushed.
