Fiat to make Chysler into Fiat

When I first heard this on the news, I was to say the least, discusted:?. I have owned nothing but Mopars for about 12 years now. I know that most car makers all make good cars, but the Chrysler brand has been my favorit.

I am hopfull that this buy out will be a good thing. But, it is highly unlikley that things will improve in the near future.

All will be good as long as they don't mess with the current Muscle Cars, Jeep wranger, Grand Cherroke, or the Rams.

Wow defzan!!! I just read your tag and saw your avatar. AWSOME !!!! We are in need of such a Revolution right now. We need to try most of our current government for treason.

If this offends anyone :flipoff: . But seriously, let me know and I will delete it.

God, Guts, and Guns! And it if offens anyone, get over it!

some people may not like the models that chry. offers.but some do. some people may not like what the europians are making.but some do,the problem with this whole sitstuation is that chrys. didnt have an option.they where forced by the strong arm of a power thirsty pres. to merg with fiat or be disolved. that is just plain wrong. if a bank had lent them the money they would not be able to force such an act. a bank would not be able to force out the ceo of gm either. I am sure that fiat makes a great pos with good mpg. but thats not what i want,i want it big, i want it tough,i want it powerfull.THANK GOD FORD DIDNT TAKE THE MONEY

Ahhh here we go, someone more willing to post, than read. What bank would loan that knd of money without getting a large share of the company? Do you not understand how loans and lines of credit work.

The money Chrysler received from the US would never be given by a bank. They only loan based on liquid capital and guarantees. Sadly Chrysler was so far in debt, they had nothing to offer that they owned or had liquid assets.

And you'll be the first guy in line to complain when fuel prices rise again...If you want big and fuel drinking, don't complain about the cost to feed it. By now we hope you realize that fuel and oil prices are not something to take lightly.

THANK GOD FORD DIDNT TAKE THE MONEY

That was easy. Instead of needing a bank they had a problem 4 years before this and were lucky to pick up a CEO from outside the Auto industry. Don;t forget instead of banks, Ford has Family money...unlike GM and Chryslers who's families has long seperated from the corporations.

your right i do complain when fuel is high, but not at the oil companies,at libs in gov. not allowing us to build refineries and explore and drill here.

if gm and chry. did anything they showed the rest of industry what will happen under this pres. if HE doesnt like how YOU are running YOUR buisness.

We agree there, no one should have done a damn thing and both GM and Chrysler should have gone to bankruptcy and failed like a normal company would.

Both are dinosaurs that needed major changes. Chrysler being bought is getting those changes (though to be honest it's only for their US dealer network). GM is stagnant on fixing anything.

BTW: For the Ford fans, they just posted a suprising $1 Billion dollar 3rd quarter profit.
