Ok I have been working on an old clod body. I have the sun roof and lower hole roughed in with Sty etc but I am looking for your opinions on the best and easiest filler to use to smooth things out.

Lets here some opinions on what the best choices are for fillers.

Use a hole punch on some styrene. Take plastic punched piece glue in place. Use a two part filler then sand smooth for best results.

Thanks for the replies. I have the holes covered with Sty but was wondering about the options for filler puddy. I was thinking automotive spot puddy but I was looking for other possibilities etc.

Be careful what type of filler you use....I have seen 1:1 automotive body filler "melt" plastic before.
You might want to try it on a test piece first.

I personally like to use the tamiya stuff, it drys fairly quickly and is easy to sand.

Tower sells it but I cant find it right now, its this stuff

Well I think you just pointed me in the direction I was looking for.

I was driving around town looking for some spot puddy that I used to use back in the day but could not find any on a saterday.

I am going to do a search on this stuff to see if I can order it locally or online.

Thanks 1BJB

I use a cheap brand of bondo called evercoat light body filler... The warnings are correct it can melt styrene. If you qapply it in small doses and dont layit on too thick all should be well. I used it on my clodbody and it worked great. No melting or bad results...I filled in the area where the blower intake was with one application, no issues. Fill cure sand done... I now have a K5 blazer lol Good luck...

Try using USC Pronto Kombi spot putty we use at work. good for pinholes and small little imperfections.
