I have many RC's but picked up an AX10 last fall and was hooked . Next logical step would be a scale crawler . So starting with that I mounted a 73 Bronco body , added a 4 led ligh bar , headlights and tails . Next will be making an interior and a roof rack for the scale accessories . I have a tube frame rail cage I am making for it now .

Re: First attempt at scale

Should have said I like the crazy lifted trucks with monster 44in tires like I always seen on the covers of the 4x4 mags from the 80's . I remember an old FJ around here with 44's . dropped the drag link going down the street and flipped on its roof .

Bronco looks good .... FJ on 44's ..sounds like as much fun as my 46 Willys on 40's ..I had a steering shaft come apart , kept mine upright but it was a hell of a ride up over a curb and into a lawn..lol

I got the dash in tonight . Its homemade from the packaging the lightbar came in .

Guess i should tell a little more about the truck . Its an AX10 that I started with upgrading the suspension and steering to alloy . Stock electronics , waterproofed with balloons . HB Sedona tires with cut foams , 7oz in each front wheel 2oz on each side of the front axle and 1 oz on each side of the rear . I also started the rear interior boxtub , all cut and tigether and sprayed with bedliner .

I did an interior tonite - everything is built with things I had around the house except a sheet of styrene I picked up this evening @ RCpro . Total cost is almost $8 . Still have to do the steering column and wheel and find a driver .
