For those of you still wanting to cut your tires but are worried about cutting too deep in those "thin" spots on these Nylint tires, put them in the freezer overnight and cut them when they're still cold. The cold will harden those thin spots and will make it harder to cut all the way through the tires (you do still have to be careful though). Do it right when you pull them out one at a time though so they're still frozen when you cut.
Maybe this is an old trick, but I think I've counted now I've cut almost 60 sets of tires and I've only had two holes. I use a very, very sharp "side-cutter" (maybe you call it a nipper?) and this has worked very well for me....
Just a thought. God Bless-
