Everyone I want to install a dig kit on my SCX10 Dingo, but I want it to be able to control the FRONT wheels to give me 2x4 4x4 like a full size truck. I am aware it can be done but what dig unit do I need to accomplish this? Will the Axial dig set work (at its cheaper price) or do I need the Vanquish dig to do it? I don't know enough about either product or how its installed to know what to do or how to do it to make this work. Thanks!

You can mirror the transmission, take the skid out and flip it. If you want the strongest go with the VP. If you want the cheaper way, go with the axial with a wraith tranny case.

Flipping the skid plate with transmission will make the vehicle go the opposite direction you're trying to make it move correct? how do you overcome this

No it won't.

Search on RCC: Flipping your transmission. It will walk you through the process.

Once that is done, you then have a choice of the Axial Dig for the Wraith transmission, Vanquish Dig or the Hot Racing Dig kit. They will all be about the same, installation and parts wise.

Once you install the dig kit, the case will be facing towards the front of the truck. You'll then need to find out the positions of the dig, I.e., Freespool front, locked out front, 4x4. Adjust your 3rd channel to the desired positions and make sure you get your EPAs (End Point Adjustments) on your servo correctly or else you'll burn out a servo or won't have a "set" position.

The if the driveshaft is too long, just cut it down to the correct length. It's only plastic.

I followed the instructions that came with my truck when I installed trans and skid and I just looked and my spur gear is to the rear of the truck already? Lol

As it sits my spur faces to back of truck and my motor is on left side (driver side)

This should help you.

1. Take out the transmission and skidplate from the truck.
2. Disassemble transmission (Make sure that you don't loose any screws or pins!!!!)
3. Take the top shaft and flip it to the other side of the transmission. Where that plastic bearing cap is.
4. Install back together and you should have what is shown in that thread.
5. Rotate the skidplate so that the motor is on the passenger side
6. Install your dig kit onto the transmission

So if I have this correct I need to flip the input shaft so the spur gear shaft sticks out through the opposite trans case half it does now, turn the motor plate around so it mounts the motor on opposite side of trans down low, and flip skid plate around in frame and install dig kit and I'm ready to roll?
