Spotted a show on MAVTV a few nights ago. There’s a group on Facebook, which I don’t have, that goes by Island Crawler Union. The show was “Titans of CNC” or something like that. some of their rigs looked almost like a life sized Wraith and Bomber. I thought it was a just some really scale RC at first but it wasn’t. Full size 1:1 rigs. I only caught the tail end of the show.

"Bomber" is a real rock racing truck made by Randy Slawson.

And the Wraith is a pretty typical tube chassis design so not surprised you saw something similar or even near identical

True.

Also true. One on the show was caged up like and not fastbacked. I couldn’t find a pic of it unfortunately.

Maybe I’m mostly amazed that I’ve never seen rigs 1:1 like these.

Yeah the Bomber from axial is actually a scale version of the real bomber from Randy Slawson

I guess it just depends where you live/travel. Living in California and frequenting the mountains & desert, I'm semi-regularly in the company of top tier crawlers and desert race vehicles. Just saw Poly Performance's Ultra4 car on Saturday.
