Hey, wondering if anybody has specs/dimensions on the G-made GS01 leaf spring u-bolts. Gmade GS01 Leaf Spring Screw Bag

I'm interesting in doing u-bolts to attach leaf springs to a rear Yota 2 axle. The plan was to make the u-bolts, but then I saw these on RPP. For that price I would be hard pressed to make cheaper and better looking bolts.

So has anyone tried it? Or is there someone who has these u-bolts that could give me some rough measurements?

Thanks!

I would also like to know this

...but for the plain machined yota 1 axles

i measured mine on my jeep with my calipers,it should be real close.rod size 3mm,axle size 15mm,u bolt length measuring where it touches the housing to the tip of threads is 26mm.hope this helps.

Plain yota axles! I've been debating various methods for spring perch removal.

I had no idea!

This does help, thank you. My yota axles are real close to 12mm diameter, so these bolts may be a bit loose fitting.

i,m pretty sure they would tighten and conform to your size axle.what do you mean by removing your spring perches?chassis width wrong for perches?

I thought this as well, Perhaps even with some heat and a 1/2 tube as a forming die they could be reworked.

My main issue with the spring perch is the front axle of a land cruiser is 3 link, and the two lower links attach under the axle.

The issue for the rear is that the perches are on top, and I need them under as the truck I'm building used axle over leaf instead of axle under leaf.

So I may try and fab a mount that will bolt into the existing perch. This would also have to act as my front spring bucket, and shock mounting location.

okay,i didn't exactly understand what you were doing but i do now.

Building my own leaf springs for the rear. Axle on top. Looking for ways to bolt that together using u-bolts instead of drilling holes in the spring and screwing it to the existing spring perch.

So i'm looking for u-bolts. Thanks again for the quick measurements.

$12.60, I'd buy a set and try them. "thumbsup"

Should be close enough, and they should conform around the axle housing as the nuts are tightened.

Do it, they are only $12.60 for a set and it's maybe 3mm total diffrence split in half (1.5mm per side)...I think it will work and would be super cool! "thumbsup"
