Is there anyone on RCC who can officially answer this question?

Any sorrca board members in here?

If a driver hovers a gate to achieve progress -2pts.

Is this a gate penalty +10? Because wheels aren't inside the gates.

I'm trying to get an official answer from sorrca rules committee.

Hovering a gate and what you are describing, are 2 different things..

If you Straddle(what you are calling hovering) a gate to get progress.. it is a Gate.. +10...

All wheels must be inside the gates, for -2 progress..
Any other progress situation, besides that, is a Gate..

I'm not a committee member, tho.. lol..

Hey Troy, here's my definition of hovering a gate. At a Scale comp.
A tire traveling over a gate not being inside the gates. Also not being outside the gates.

If I was to answer my question. I say all tires must be "inside" gates. Anything else it a gate penalty once both axles progresses the gate.

In a usrcca pro comp I know the answer.. just looking for an official answer for a sorrca scale comp. Any chance you know anyone on sorrca rules committee?

Hi buddy! I'll leave it to a scale guy, then..

Sounds like a gate, to me, no matter what RC is being man'd.
