Gear Head wheels with Vanquish SLW hubs

Sorry, VP SLW hubs will not work with Gear Head wheels without hacking on your wheels.

Life would've been easier for you guys if VP would've just matched our hole spacing. :)

If you are looking for a little wider offset, you can buy our spacers:
Gear Head Hub Spacer Kit, 4-40 Screws (4)
Gear Head Hub Spacer Kit, M2 Screws (4)
Gear Head 8-Lug Hub Spacer Kit, M2 Screws (4)

Thank you for the quick response, Jim! That's a shame that we don't have the option to go to VP hubs if we wanted to. Hopefully they will make some in the future!

Thank you for the links as well! I'll be checking those out and seeing what will help me out. "thumbsup"

Im not trying to bash gearhead in any way, their wheels are and always have been VERY nice, but VP has come up with what i believe is fast becoming the standard hub configuration of the crawling industry, so maybe going to their bolt spacing is a good business move? I know the gearhead/cac wheels/hub system were out long before vp hubs were.
I know i personally wont even consider buying a set of wheels if they arent SLW hub compatible these days. I have 4 sets of high end SLW style alu wheels and i can move them around all my trucks without any swapping of hubs.

When it comes to Scalers how many different backspacing do you run between your trucks? Aren't those spacers cheaper than another set of VP hubs?
Not bashing VP - they are high end nice stuff. But so is Gearhead if you ask me......

I run a mix of .225, .350, and .475 hubs between 4 trucks, and another truck will be getting a set of slw wheels as well, that one may get .600s. Cost isnt really my #1 concern, its compatibility. I can switch around all my wheels to all my trucks without having to have a whole different set of hubs/offset spacers just for that one set of wheels. It simply doesnt make sense to me. You are seeing more and more wheel builders adopt the slw hub, that is the writing on the wall for me. Is VPs hub design "better" then anyones elses? Thats debatable, but they marketed theirs better then anyone else so thats why its now becoming the standard. Btw i think gearhead wheels are as good as vp wheels so quality isnt the issue. Id like to own a set of GH wheels but i wont buy them unless they become slw compatible. Im definitely more anal retentive then alot of people though.

My point was I don't think that many scale only guys run that far of different setups between rigs.
And in that I don't see many guys swapping rims and tires back and forth. Most set it and forget it till something better comes around.

Your point just becomes mute in all that - Once the rig is setup not to many people play around with other setups.

But that's my point of view and I never claim to know it all.

Although i hope im not I might be in the minority here but my trucks are always changing/evolving. If they didnt id be bored. All i can say is i REALLY like the ability to use wheels from different companies and simply bolt them to my slw hubs. Im excited to see different companies all coming together and using a standard hub setup. Its a positive step IMO in a world of proprietary designs that all overlap but are just different enough to not work together. I get enough of that bs at work

If you are a "set it and forget it" type of person then your right, it makes no difference what wheels use what hubs and im sure there are alot of folks like that. Im not one of those people is all"thumbsup"
