Hey guys.

I got a hot racing tranny the LCG one, it says that the ratio is 38:1 with a 12t pinon...

When i tried the tranny with a 21t pinion its doing about 6-7mph am wondering if a 30t pinion(biggest it supposrt) would give me a decent speed...

maybe closer to 20?

You need a total ratio of around 9:1 to 12:1 if you want wheel speed
Have a look at this RC calculator , you need a wheel speed around 25-30 mph for a descend Foff racer

Thanks for that mate.

What i did was take appart the gear box and tae out 2 gears and put the pinion directl onto one of the idler gears, seems to work well. I'm doing around 15-20mph on my 19t brushed motor...perfect.
