Which Gear Reduction Ratio R U Using?

Hi All, just wondering what gear ratio are you guys using on your txts?
Pls state your motor as well, thanks.

I'm using mm motor with stock 18t gd600 pinion and rr 9t pinion on its shaft output.
Dats about 2x6.37x2.5x(40/9)=141.56
Kinda slow walking speed.

I"m running a 27t GM Racing motor with a 9t pinion on a GD600 @2.5:1

Oh and you may want to change the title or actually make it a poll

I went from the 2.5, to the 3.8, back to the 2.5 ratio with either a stock 540 can, or a Mag Mayhem.
I have always had the stock 15 tooth pinion inside the TXT gearbox.
As the truck became more and more of a trail truck, I found it needed even more wheel speed.
Sometimes steep dirt slopes need wheel speed. And wheel speed is fun!

So it ended up with a 9 tooth pinion on a Mag Mayhem, without the GD600...

2.5:1 GD600 with a 15T on the output = 85:1. It's too fast with a Mag Mayhem on it but just right with a Johnson or 27 turn for most situations.

I run the same set-up with a 55t lathe motor, it's a little slow but it's got good torque.

Using lathe motor with a 3.8 GD600 and a 15 tooth pinion in the transmission resulting in slow crawl with moderate wheel speed when needed. Tried a 9 tooth pinion with the stock 540 motor but had no wheel speed at all.

I'm at 132:1 with a Mammoth reduction and Johnson 550 w/ 9T. It does ~2mph.

The first run with that I stripped the Mammoth gear tho, so I'm going to switch to a 2.5 GD-600 for 140:1

wheres the poll?

Just realised there's too many options, thus no poll.
But it shows a rough idea of what ppl are using for crawling.
Thanks all.

9tooth gd600 3.8 stock motor till brushless esc comes in but not sure what final ratio some in the 200-250 ?? i think good for us hawaiians

TXT is 129:1 and the F/X truck is 110:1  Both run MP Jet planetaries, TXT with a MultiPlex 600 motor and F/X with a stock 540. Actually like the 110:1 better as you can get more wheel spin quickly if need be.

I'm just curious. The numbers you guys are posting (120-140) are final drive ratios correct? I'm building a custom truck with a custom transmission and was just wondering. At one point I had it figured that the truck was going to have 229:1 final drive ratio with two 55-turn lathe motors. Is that too slow? I think the 120 to 140 range sounds about good. This truck is going to be strictly for crawling.

Yeah, I figured it would. I found the formula to figure out MPH from the gear ratio, Motor RPM and tire diameter. So I should be set to go.

Thanks for the info.

running 2 55 turn lathe motors no reduction yet 9 tooth pins .works good a little top heavy with 2 motors but still working on the truck as
my wallet lets me
