Gen 8 AXE Brass

To my understanding the AXE version only differs in the ESC/motor combo. Brass etc will be the same.

Portal covers and diff cover should fit, they are not different ... however axles tubes (if they exists in brass, never mind looking) may not, AXE has double-shear axles while Gen8 has single-shear.

Does it really need brass? I have found it to be very capable just with chanquish wheels, deep woods tires and proline dual stage foams. The drivetrain under that is Axe platform.

I just swapped out to the Redcat Aluminum Inner and Outer Portal Covers, because I had a mishap that broke a factory plastic one (my fault) and used the C-Hubs that were provided (as a surprise) from mgputer, once you move to the "hard" parts, you lose the double shear on the lower shock mount. I inquired about this with RedCat and they said it was not needed when you move to the aluminum parts. Now, this is all factory parts, not sure what the aftermarket is doing.

You are correct however, somebody might come along and read this thinking that's the only difference.

Other differences are:
1. HD axle housings
2. Flat bottom skid and redesigned battery tray
3. CNC machined transmission and transfer case gears
4. HD portal gears
5. In phase drive lines
6. Redesigned servo horn to eliminate bump steer
