...looks like Libya is turning into a clusterfawk in a hurry. I'm predicting $5/gal gas prices here if it escalates much further. Gaddafi already said he's going to fight the protesters down to the last bullet. Although, he said that after fleeing the country. :roll:

Otherwise, hooray for the people of Libya! "thumbsup"

Gas prices are such B$... a lot if not most of the gasoline used in the US comes in through Canada. Demand is no where near the level necessary to warrant the current costs. Just soo fed up with gasoline costs, and me not getting a raise to help pay for it. :evil:

i dont watch the news so i dont have a clue what your talking about but i hope your not right:oops:

SS= 9mpg
jeep= 12 mpg
boat= drinks it.

Maybe the crude does, but Texas refines about 40% of the petroleum that this nation uses....

BTW, those prices (and volumes) are strictly regulated by OPEC....Libya is one of the countries in charge. They are known for being corrupt and regulating production for their own personal gains.

The Libyan military has been ordered to fire upon and suppress the protesters. Yesterday two colonels defected after they were supposedly ordered to drop bombs on them.

We may not get much oil from them, but you can be damn sure we'll feel the pinch.

Which is why I hope gas prices don't go higher... although they will for sure.

The fact that we haven't done a god damned thing to help ourselves produce our own is just ridiculous. It's there and could have started pumping it 20yrs ago, but no. :roll:

Yep, those ideas keep getting shut down by the lawmakers....:evil:

I can't afford higher gas prices lol. I have 2 trucks that both have a drinking problem, maybe it's time to ride a bike during the summer haha.

The fact that we are still so reliant on oil at this point is what is so troublesome. Didnt we learn anything from the embargo in the 70s? One day historians and school teachers will call the last 120 years or so the "Oil Age"
