I did search a bit but didn't find what I needed. I bought a proline crowd pleaser body from my local hobby store and painted the inside. I can't get the film off of the outside. It will only come off if I scrape it with my fingernails and only very small pieces come off. The entire body is like this. It might be from being old as there's not much traffic at the hobby shop. Any tips so I don't trash the outside before I even run the truck?

I tried on the spoiler and there is a spot I was having a hard time with even using a razor blade to scrape it. It still didn't all come off

Well i don't what to tell you.Maybe just return it and get a different body.
Oh ya already painted, but they may still take it back
there must be a reason why it won't come off.
Maybe the film is old and brittle.or just contact pro-line they may help you or some one on this thread may help sooner or later...
Maybe keep trying different areas of the body and might get lucky and start peeling....good luck..

thats very odd. thats usually the easiest part of painting a body. must be something wrong with it.

Yeah that is usually the easiest thing to do on the body. I would not use a knife try to use finger nails if that don't work may have to return it.

I wonder if you were to spray liquid mask over it all, if it would pull the rest up with it once dry?

Otherwise, have you tried using an aggressive tape, something like duct tape, or Gorilla tape?

I did try warming it up a bit and it didn't help. There is a film there as I did get one chunk off. I emailed proline and will see what they say.

I called proline since they never emailed me back and the guy there said he never heard of this before. I tried rosscomat's idea with the tape and got it off, it took a while but it worked. Thanks
